Guatemala

This is a very short report on our Guate trip. I will write more later. The busy fall continues with my sister Beth coming up for her birthday and the Shenandoah Mountain Bike Festival.

Guatemala is a really cool place to ride a bike or go on an adventure vacation. The scenery is lush, busy and colorful. The climate is so perfect that just about anything grows there. Including my favorites, avocados and oranges. Even though we didn't speak any Spanish( I will be learning for the next trip!) people were friendly and helpful. Antigua and Tikal were the big highlights. Plus the indigineous village we passed through where no one even spoke Spanish. Tim got to ride in the jumpseat of the plane from Tikal back to Guatemala City. That was a case of bad luck turning good.
